How To: Plan a Different Kind of Bachelorette Party
If you're looking for an alternative to the typical dinner and club-hopping bachelorette party, here are some of our less traditional favorites.

Take in a Show/Concert/Game:
Whether the bachelorette loves basketball, musicals, or Kenny Chesney, surprising her with an outing to enjoy one of her favorite things will be a definite hit. Pair it with dinner at her favorite restaurant and you've got a more personal twist on the usual girls night out for around the same price.

Spa Day: A celebration can't get much girlier than a day full of manicures, pedicures, and facials. Besides, who doesn't want a massage?! This works best with a smaller group as the spa will only be able to accommodate so many people at one time. The price will vary depending on what treatments each person chooses. Head back to someones house afterwards for drinks, snacks and chick flicks, and you've got a grown-up take on an old-school slumber party.

Be Extreme:
If the bride-to-be has an adventurous streak, taking her skydiving, bungee jumping, or white water rafting would be a truly memorable (and heart-pumping) way to celebrate. Thrill Planet hooks you up with all of that, plus ATV adventures, hot air balloon rides, and flying lessons, with reputable guides at locations nationwide. The downside? It's rather costly and some people in your group may be less than thrilled with the idea.

Get Physical:
Nobody said that a bachelorette party can't be good for you! Meet up for a yoga or pilates class. The breathing, stretching, and twisting will help the bride-to-be (and the rest of the gang) relax and de-stress. Another plus? It's relatively inexpensive. Most classes cost around $15 in our area. Add on a nice brunch afterwards and you're still well below the cost of a night out on the town.

Lastly, we recently found a fun way to spark some interesting conversation among friends, no matter where or what you choose to do.
