Earlier this year, we told you about the wedding cake-shaped chocolate truffles from Godiva. If you liked the idea but couldn’t stomach the $10 per piece price tag, check out this similar chocolates from Choclatique. They’re half the price, at $4.75 each, and available in white, pearl, or gold.

The cover of the July/August Brides magazine showcased my favorite wedding trend of the season: adding flirty, colorful shoes to a white wedding gown.

Do-It-Yourself wedding invitations may be less expensive than custom printed invites, but they’re often a huge headache for those who lack Martha Stewart-like skills. And if you’re buying all of your materials at the local craft store, the actual savings probably won’t be all that great.
That’s why I love the DIY invites from Formal-Invitations.com. Start by browsing their many samples to find a style and color scheme that suits your wedding. Then order all of the necessary materials, including glue sticks, right from their site. The best part? Most styles cost less than $1 per invite, including a background card, overlay, embellishment and envelope. Reply cards, outer envelopes, and envelope liners are extra, though still inexpensive.
Once you’ve purchased all of the necessary materials, you can download printable templates and watch step-by-step video demonstrations to help you with assembly. Bonus: Formal-Invitations.com. offers dozens of recycles and tree-free papers.

This stylish, satin halter ballgown from Jessica McClintock is now 40% off - just $270! I love the lace bodice with the ruching and satin bow at the waist. The full pick-up skirt has a trendy bubble hem.
Not the one? Jessica McClintock offers a number of other styles - some traditional, many not - for under $500.

I’m a big fan of giving pashmina wraps as bridesmaids gifts. A nice wrap is one of the few gifts that will be useful both on the wedding day and long afterwards. The downside is that they can be too pricey, especially if you have to buy several.
That’s why I had to tell you about the bargain I found at Nimli.com. Their cashmere pashmina shawl comes in 110 colors and only costs $29 (original price $150). I haven’t seen them in person, so I can’t vouch for the quality. But it sure sounds like a good deal…
