Pretty Dresses: Pretty in Pink

If you’re not really a white-dress kind of bride, check out this fabulous pink gown from Sottero & Midgley. It’s a strapless, fitted A-line with a corset back and a sweep train. Swarovski crystals decorate the lace applique on the ruched bodice and the skirt is layered tulle. Gorgeous.

Pretty Dresses: Alvina Valenta Fall 2008

I tend to be a big fan of Alvina Valenta wedding gowns. Past collections have been soft and feminine, but always with a stylish, modern twist. Unfortunately, I’m not loving the Fall 2008 collection. While these gowns are definitely pretty, they don’t seem to have the same romantic or luxurious feel. Do you agree? Tell me below.

Pretty Dresses: Augusta Jones 2009

I just took a peak at the 2009 Collection on the Augusta Jones website. If you liked the flowy, ethereal style of the 2008 collection, you should definitely check out the new offerings. There’s not a lot of poof or embellishments, but the gowns are gorgeous in their simplicity.

Steal: Jessica McClintock Halter Gown

This stylish, satin halter ballgown from Jessica McClintock is now 40% off - just $270! I love the lace bodice with the ruching and satin bow at the waist. The full pick-up skirt has a trendy bubble hem.

Not the one? Jessica McClintock offers a number of other styles - some traditional, many not - for under $500.

Perfect for: A Red Carpet Bride

This sophisticated Alvina Valenta charmeuse gown screams glamour. I can definitely see a Hollywood starlet walking the Red Carpet in this dress, making it ideal for the bride who wants the drama without the poof and lace.

If you’re looking for a body-hugging, eye-catching wedding gown, look no further than designer Amy Michelson. I love the oh-so-sexy backs and dramatic details that adorn her sheath and a-line style dresses. These gowns are definitely not for every bride, but they’re perfect for those who want to make a sexy statement. Prices are in the $1500-$3000 range. Click here for stores.
