Simple Ribbon Vases

The March issue of Good Housekeeping featured simple DIY ribbon vases that would make gorgeous centerpieces for a backyard wedding.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Based on your color scheme, purchase ribbon in complimentary colors and textures.
  2. Borrow or buy glass vases, either matching ones or a variety of shapes and sizes for a more casual look.
  3. Layer the ribbon on the glass vase and secure with double-sided tape.
  4. Trim the ends neatly.
  5. On the big day, fill vases with fresh flowers that match your color scheme.

We gave it a try with a candle holder and some ribbon that we found lying around.   It was super easy and took less than 5 minutes (granted we only used two kinds of ribbon and weren't very creative).  With a little thought and a bit of time, these could be really attractive!
